Claudio Rodríguez Fer: o erotismo e as viagens: análise das duas primeiras partes de Uma temporada no paraíso

Abstract

The objective of this dissertation is to present to the Examination Committee the progress of my research regarding the first two parts of the work “Uma temporada no paraíso” by the Galician poet Claudio Rodríguez Fer: the analyses of the poems presented in “Somente a apoteose” and “Viagens Verdes” indicates the path traveled up to the date. For this purpose, I am going to show the thirty-eight micropoems of the first part on which the erotic theme, social commitment, and libertarian utopia predominate: the use of linguistic codes and a transcendental opening that, built from the first poem, allows us to enter in the poetic paradise where neologisms combine and reveal the love encounter. In the second part, we are going to leave the author's poetic Galicia and travel through some places that make up the league of the Celtic countries, Normandy and England: as in the first part, “Viagens Verdes” also addresses the amorous erotic development through places that connect the poet to his Celtic origin and the social commitment stands out again, especially in the last poems. The feminine libertarian utopia, one of Rodríguez Fer's main characteristics, predominates in almost all the presented poems. The last part has seven poems. In addition to "A dupla chama" by Octavio Paz, I am going to use as theoretical basis the studies of specialists in this author, such as Saturnino Valladares, Olga Novo, Natalia Regueiro, Xosé L. Axeitos, Carmen Blanco, and the statements of the poet Claudio Rodríguez Fer. Works by Michel Foucault and Georges Bataille also helped with the understanding and development of the main theme. With great thematic richness, the two chapters acknowledge the importance of the poet for Spanish literature and showcases him as a pioneer in the presentation of eroticism in Galician literature.
