O protagonismo das mulheres na luta por uma educação do campo no assentamento de Vila Amazônia

Resumo

This research aimed to understand the role of women in the struggle for rural education in the settlement of Vila Amazônia in the municipality of Parintins-AM. The term protagonism is emphasized here as a synonym for exercising militancy for the strengthening of quality education. Studies under this demand require a critical and political understanding, intersecting class/race and gender as the basis for building a more just society. The specific objectives were: 1) To identify subservience relationships and gender inequalities that affect women in the Vila Amazônia Settlement; 2) Identify the strategies and articulations of struggle of the women of the Vila Amazônia Settlement for the consolidation of an Education of/in the Countryside 3) Highlight the contributions and efforts of the Women of the Settlement of Vila Amazônia in the fight for an Education of/in the Countryside . A decolonial research concept was adopted using studies by Boaventura Santos (2009), Quijano (2005), Maldonado-Torres (2007) and Maria Lugones (2008). For the results of the research, interviews were carried out based on a stipulated script, which were later transcribed and analyzed using the constructive-interpretive methodology, widely used in qualitative studies, focusing on the subjectivity of the subjects. This dissertation is articulated in four interrelated sections; Section I: The theoretical-methodological tracks of the research, Section II: Women, Protagonism, Struggles and Resistance in the Brazilian scenario, Section III: What rural school? Designing ways to overcome inequalities and Section IV: The Research Path: Investigating the Protagonism of Women from the Vila Amazônia Settlement, perspectives on work, families, education, struggles and gender asymmetry. The reflections proposed in this study were woven in dialogue with the reality of rural women in the Amazonian territories, bringing up gender inequalities based on the categories of work and education. It is known that the countryside is historically marked by several stereotypes that are based on the molds of neoliberalism and that find resistance in the daily struggles of peasant men and women from the most diverse locations and dimensions of social life, it is necessary to understand the importance of these struggles for the constitution of peasant territory and for the strengthening of grassroots social movements. In this way, this research sought to present ideas for an education that incorporates feminist, anti-racist struggles, which encompasses gender issues in the spaces of Campo, das Águas and das Florestas, understanding the need to overcome patriarchal ties and the current hegemonic capitalist system that feeds social ills.
