Resumo
This work aims to investigate the Science Fair as a methodological approach tool in a high
school education in particular Technical Manaus to research scientific learning and its relation
to projects presented at the event, identifying the skills and competencies in participating
students. The methodology was a mixed approach to data collection in this sequential
exploratory research. In the first phase was an analysis of the qualitative data and the second
stage analysis of quantitative data. The instruments of data collection were document analysis,
semi-structured interviews with counselors and teachers questionnaire to identify the skills
and competencies in the training of research students. As expected results: it was noted that
the approaches used by teachers in guiding projects directly influence for scientific learning of
students can be seen many qualities in students, such as team spirit, cooperation, critical
thinking and reasoning, all of which are responsible for development of skills and
competencies needed for scientific learning.
