A equipe multidisciplinar na atenção à saúde da pessoa idosa em um hospital da alta complexidade: uma tríade de múltiplas determinações em Manaus, Amazonas

Resumo

We assume that aging is an irreversible process of the population, and in Brazil, it happens in an accelerated way and, increasingly, a life expectancy over the years, which is a victory for humanity, but it brings sequelae, in many cases, challenges and demands on the State, in this case in public health. This research aimed to analyze the professional services of the multidisciplinary team in healthcare for the elderly in a high complexity hospital, a triad of multiple determinations in Manaus, Amazonas. And as specific objectives: Identify the health problems demanded by hospitalized elderly people and the use of the social health care networkin that hospital; And as specific objectives: Identifying the health problems demanded by hospitalized elderly people and the use of the social health care network in that hospital; To check the professional services of the multidisciplinary health team for the hospitalized elderlyperson; To reflect on the advances and challenges in the provision of services in view of the health needs of elderly people attended at the João Lucio Hospital and Emergency Room in the city of Manaus. The methodological process of the research was the case study, carried out through data and information surveys: literature review, document analysis and online field research using a quiz built on the Google Forms platform. The theoretical approach was critical explanatory with qualitative information and primary quantitative data, as well as secondary sources from the State Health Department (SES / AM), the Municipal Health Department (SEMSA), the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) among others. The locusof the research was the João Lúcio Hospital and Emergency Room (HPSJL) as this is a highly complex hospital and a reference in the care of all patients coming from the sixty-twomunicipalities of the state of Amazonas and which has specialized professionals in different areas of health. In this sense, the research subjects were 11 professionals: social workers, nurses, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists and physicians, all interviewed through a form sent online to determine the CEP's consent. As for the results, the research carried out shows that the challenges in the implementation of SUS principles, such as the integrality of health actions, remain a reality with no prospects for changes in the short term. The state's health networks offer little or no support to referral and counter-referral services, and to multidisciplinary teams, highlighted in intersectoral policies as a way to offer health to the elderly within their specificities, still existing fragmented and without proper knowledge of policies. Finally, we expect public health management to intensify forms of knowledge of policies aimed at this segment, which in the institution covers a large number of hospitalizations.
