Resumo
The Deaf in schools, learn through visual experiences and use Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) in the formation of mental processes in their social interaction, and consequently in learning motor skills. It is capable of producing knowledge as organized as listeners, which prevails in the field of education, is the look of the differences, the identity, the culture of the deaf person, not the disability itself, on and of the challenges of adapting a motor assessment tool , be entering this look to a public that has Culture, Identity and own language,is of para-mount importance that the motor ratings, Respects their culture and their language. Our study has the general objective to adapt the KTK (Körperkoordinationstest für Kinder) test for the Deaf culture, and specific objectives translate the KTK test to Brazilian Sign Language (Libras); synthesize the translation of the KTK test on Libras; retro translate the KTK test on Libras to Portuguese; analyze the semantics of the KTK test translation on Libras, on Portu-guese and analyze the applicability of the KTK test on Libras. The KTK engine test is an in-strument that assesses the global motor coordination in children between 5:14 years and 11 months, consisting of 04 tasks, and that too,previously adapted for intellectual disabled.The adaptation of an instrument to another language is a complex process due to cultural differ-ences that do not allow you to make a simple translation, to achieve these goals it was neces-sary to select a bank of judges composed of 02 Libras interpreters; 01 Deaf teacher Brazilian Sign Language user, 01 teacher Deaf bilingual (English, Brazilian Sign Language), 02 teach-ers bilingual listeners (Portuguese, Brazilian Sign Language).At the end of these phases pro-duced a Final Video with the test instructions in “KTK LIBRAS”, applied and interviewed 12 children Deaf between 5:14 years to verify their applicability. It was possible to apply the KTK test in Libras with Deaf children, given the instructions of the tasks have been carried out sat-isfactorily, and the return of the interviews were favorable application in Libras. Consider the cultural and linguistic differences of the Deaf, the reliability of the KTK test, its applicability to the Deaf, were crucial to adapt to the deaf culture where, in the field of motor assessment, this type of study is unprecedented. Enabling us to also create sample databases and under-standing of characterization of the motor development of this subject. From these points, counseling to take measures that require your participation in the motor, educational and sports activities that are applicable to the use of your maternal language.
