Caixeiros: organização e vivências em Manaus (1906-1929)

Abstract

The current work aims to bring up the history of a labor category that acted remarkably in Manaus at the early decades of the 20th‟s, the salespersons. They acted on the varied selling branches during the rubber economy period, whether as desk clerks, accountants or dispatchers. Their trajectory study is essential for the labors history that lived their experience amidst the exploitation and economical crisis that characterized the period. The study we propose aims still to bring up these labors options, thus showing they were subjects of their own history.
