Organização da produção agrícola familiar e modo de vida na comunidade de cachoeirinha – Rio Madeira/Manicoré

Abstract

The present work has as its object of study Cachoeirinha community which is located on the left bank of the Madeira River in the city of Manicoré/AM. Formed by historical peasants, the community had its origin in the mid nineteenth century and early twentieth century, a period of great commercial mobility in Wood River, specifically the exploitation of rubber. Soon the events that led to the formation of the community are part of the broader historical context on the municipality of Manicoré, the Rio Madeira and Amazon in general. The research objective is to have an understanding of the process of family farming and the way of life in the community Cachoeirinha, it is necessary to understand it both internally and in its relationship with the outside . In this sense we present at first the processes that influenced the formation of the peasantry in the Wood River/Manicoré, to further understand the formation and organization and the family farm and way of life in the community, showing how is the use of land by peasants as well as its relations with the seasonal changes and the market, analyzing how the peasants experienced the changes over time and how was their inclusion on these socio-spatial changes.
