Resumo

The use of alternative materials in civil construction has become necessary to mitigate the environmental impacts caused by the sector and provide the use of lightweight materials, especially sandwich panels used in the implementation and construction of popular housing that meet housing programs and enable the creation of new vertical sealing construction systems adapted to the specificity of the Amazon region. The materials chosen to make the face plates were characterized and sought to meet the resistance standard NBR 15.498: 2016 aimed at the use of face plates, ASTM C393: 2016 for the panel and the performance standard NBR 15.575: 2013 that enabled the use of the cement sandwich panel (PSC) as a vertical sealing system in buildings. The research analyzed the physical and mechanical performance of cement sandwich panels (PSC) consisting of cement mortar face plates with partial replacement of 30% of cement by regional double layer jute fabric reinforced metakaolin and expanded polystyrene core (EPS) . The physical and mechanical properties evaluated by NBR 15.498: 2016 for faceplates and showed resistance of this component about 11 MPa and according to ASTM C393: 2016, the load supported by the sandwich panel was approximately 2000 N. Still according to performance standard 15.575: 2013 adopted for conducting thermal and acoustic comfort tests, the cementitious sandwich panel - PSC has been validated as a top level vertical sealing system with capacity for use in civil construction for the amazon region.
