Resumo

In a Mobile Software Ecosystem (MSECO), manufacturers provide a platform for developers to create mobile applications (Apps) and make them available for consumption of their users, enabling to offer a high number of solutions and services. A variety of factors may influence the success and performance of App or a MSECO over time, making difficult the constructions of good solutions to this uncertainty scenario. In this issue, the use of simulation would be an important tool to support decision making, providing in a controlled manner different scenarios in a MSECO and minimizing risk in the pursuit of creating a popular App. In this context, a Systematic Literature conducted in this work identified 19 publications regarding simulation of MSECO. These publications were analyzed from the perspective of the App, User and Developer, that correspond to the main elements in a MSECO. The data found showed that most of the models present limitations for real application in the context of the industry. From this analysis, this work complements the AppEco simulation model. This model has been thoroughly evaluated with a set of 100 real mobile applications on the Android platform. In this context, supported by the expanded model, the MSECO SIMU tool was developed, bringing this theoretical model closer to practical application by Apps developers.
