Bioprospecção de microrganismos e plantas como ferramenta de desenvolvimento sustentável nas ciências farmacêuticas

Resumo

Bioprospecting is a process based on the discovery of substances with chemical and biological potential from plants and living organisms, becoming a valuable economic resource for the country, adding value to biodiversity through the development of bioproducts in a sustainable way. The aim of the present study was to promote the Pharmacy-Bioprospection relationship as a sustainable strategy for the discovery of new drugs. An integrative bibliographic review was carried out, whose databases used for research were SCielo, Capes Periodicals, Science Direct, Google Scholar and Virtual Health Library. The results showed that bioprospecting has great importance in the economy for its sustainable use with the creation of biotechnological products of natural origin and that the isolation and characterization methodologies used in the bioprospecting of the most varied natural sources such as plants and fungi are similar and can be extracted from natural or synthetic sources, concluding that the pharmacy in its various areas of study makes the pharmaceutical professional able to develop bioprospecting activities.
