As Histórias em Quadrinhos como ferramenta metodológica de ensino aprendizagem no Ensino de Ciências

Resumo

Comic books have the potential to engage readers of all ages, stimulate creativity, and promote understanding of complex concepts in a visual and accessible way. As an educational resource, comic books can be used to encourage reading, develop language skills, and when integrated with interdisciplinary projects, they can promote understanding of diverse topics and stimulate students' imagination. Seeking practices that foster both knowledge construction and student agency can be a means to achieve meaningful learning through the creation of comic books, which are the object of study. This qualitative research aimed to analyze the potential of comic books as an educational resource integrated with interdisciplinary projects and in the teaching learning process in Science Education. The secondary objectives of the research were to identify the importance of using comic books and interdisciplinary projects in teachers' training in Science Education, explain how comic books, when integrated with interdisciplinary projects, can contribute to the teaching-learning process in Science Education, and describe how comic books contribute to student agency when integrated with interdisciplinary projects in Science Education. For the achievement of these objectives, two teachers, one of Science and Portuguese Language, and 9th grade students participated in this research, and all the data collected were analyzed using Creswell's Spiral Analysis methodology. The results indicate that the process of creating comic books can be a relevant multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary strategy, where planning, organization, and objectives should consider the context in which students are inserted. In this process, it is necessary to think about the following elements: characters, scenarios, dialogues, which involve writing, reading, and creativity skills. It was also noticeable that the creation of comic books encourages the search for information in different areas of knowledge to give authenticity and richness to the story, as well as the development of student agencyComic books have the potential to engage readers of all ages, stimulate creativity, and promote understanding of complex concepts in a visual and accessible way.
