Sujeitos masculinos em construção: sentidos de ética nas relações de gênero de trabalhadores de uma obra da construção civil em Manaus/Amazonas

Abstract

This proposal is a qualitative research on the senses of ethics in gender relations of workers of a construction work in Manaus / Amazonas. The overall objective was to understand the ethical way in gender relations produced by workers in a construction work in Manaus. The specific objectives were: (1) identify the meanings of being ethical in respect for the experiences of workers' gender relationships construction in Manaus / Amazonas and (2) relate the ethical meanings produced by the workers to the construction of their masculinity in relationships of lived gender. The theoretical framework was structured from the socio-historical psychology proposed by Vygotsky (1988) in contributions from the perspective of psychosocial development proposed by the network of meanings. Such an arrangement presented theoretical insights possibilities on human development from the construction of meaning from the relationships being highlighted in this project gender relations. The research methodology proposed a building data through instruments such as: Life history report and socioeconomic questionnaire. Such instruments favor the expression of subjectivity by the participant to offer the same freedom to report his version of his script to life and talk about the socioeconomic context in which they live. Survey participants were 5 male subjects who worked in the construction industry in the city of Manaus. The information built in the survey were analyzed via meanings cores (AGUIAR; Ozella, 2006). Ethical built by participants in their life stories and highlighted relations that the pipes for a satisfying relationship would need affection, equality, respect (disguised or not inequality), openness, consistency, warmth, inter-subjective agreement and dialogue. However, according to the particularity of them, each dimension of these possess crossovers, dynamics, different directions and intensities and that would need to be agreed with these situations also occur in other, which reveals the complexity of this process. Looks like abstraction, reflexivity, otherness and assertiveness, necessary for the development of dialogue, we highlight the difficulties and potential reported by the participants. Inefficiency or the potency of these aspects hinder or help them develop dealing in relationships. The research identified the need for participants to relate the senses that guide their lives to their attitudes about themselves and each other in a relationship as the care, affection and convenience. There was the need to reflect the ethical construction in contemporary times, so that the public policies increasingly consider the life stories of people and their senses in order to facilitate discussions on "how to behave in relation to each other for a satisfactory experience for two.” This work could contribute to reflections on chances of being and relating as evidenced consider the reflection of the social construction of gender identities in relationships via ethical processes.
