Resumo
The objective of this work was to understand the religious phenomenon on which there are already some researches, however, despite problematizing the incorporation of symbols, Hebrew terms, sounds, music and rituals of the Jewish tradition in several Brazilian evangelical strands, they did not emphasize the locus that gave rise to this religiosity in the country. To reach this conclusion, the history of Pentecostalism in the Amazon was covered, expanding the discussion to the rest of the country through authors such as Émile Leonard, Beatriz de Souza and Paul Freston. It is an analysis that sought to show that the Movement that infected Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century emerged among the caboclos of the Amazon, in addition, it pointed out that in the 21st century, the North again appears in the historiography of this religion. evangelicalism with Cellular Pentecostalism. The cellular method of growth adopted by many Churches is Amazonian, and at its core is Judaized Pentecostalism, a category of analysis to think about such changes. One of the main Churches studied, the International Ministry of Restoration, was born in the Amazon and its liturgical foundations are permeated by the symbolism of Ancient Judaism. In this sense, it was up to this research to explain that in the Amazon one of the biggest movements of the Protestant faith was re-signified through the incorporation of an Imaginary Israel into its ethos, infecting other Churches such as the Assembly of God – representative of Classical Pentecostalism – and Universal of the Kingdom of God. God – representative of Neo-Pentecostalism. As for the theoretical-methodological parameters, the method of analysis was comprehensive and from the perspective of Max Weber, Émile Durkheim, Peter Berger, Pierre Bourdieu, Rudolf Otto, Beatriz Souza, Paul Freston and Émile Leonard and others, this thesis was founded.
