Vulnerabilidade e segurança hidroclimatológica no Alto Solimões: o caso das Vilas de Belém do Solimões e Campo Alegre / Amazonas

Abstract

Extreme events in the Amazon have become more common in the last 30 years and with it significant impacts on the daily life of Amazonians, directly linked to hydroclimatology are observed. Both the quality of life in displacement and urban operation, the water level of rivers and rainfall are important factors for the region. So question in this work, the influence of atypical / hydroclimatological extreme events in human dynamics of the Amazon, especially in the towns of Campo Alegre and Belém do Solimões / Alto Solimões - AM? To answer this question it is important to understand the dynamics of high water and low water, rains and droughts, as well as social dynamics that are affected by these events. Dynamic, fixed and flows pass out of a mere representation of the real, to the understanding of reality and a geographic look of the area. For this, we use mapping techniques, Peruvian secondary information, official data ANA / ORE-HYBAM (Brazilian) and other agencies, media records, beyond the intrinsic experience of geography. In order, to understand and describe the hydroclimatological regime in the region, generating an indicator of vulnerability and security, supporting public policies who work, resulting in a support system decision in extreme events scenarios. Thus, it was observed that even with the abundant supply of water throughout the region, there are points of chronic vulnerability, and lack of drinking water a reality in the study villages. Elsewhere, even with all the technologies involved, it has become difficult to predict floods and extreme droughts. Finally, atypical features predict accurately and their impact on the sites studied currently is not possible. Resolution to local problems of quality of life yes! And so they should be encouraged.
