Aplicativo movél para escala de avaliação de lesões de pele causadas por serpentes no contexto amazônico

Resumo

INTRODUCTION: The nurse has a fundamental role in patient care and all stages of care. One of these care steps is related to the assessment and treatment of skin wounds. In this sense, there are several scales for the evaluation and classification of these injuries, but there is a lack of a specific instrument to help nurses care for wounds caused by snake bites, a type of injury that is very common in the Amazon region. OBJECTIVES: To develop an evaluation scale for skin lesions caused by Bothrops sp. in the Amazonian context, using digital technology. METHODS: Methodological study of technological innovations, with a quantitative approach, which consists of building and developing software, a mobile application with the Android operating system; and as a Scientific Method we used the Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). RESULTS: Through an Integrative Literature Review, we identified the main characteristics of wound assessment tools. These tools are recognized in clinical practice, because there is a tendency to use them in a specific way for certain pathologies, thus making care more dynamic, effective, and safe. This study also served as a guide, especially for the construction of the wound assessment tool and the development of an application to guide the care of skin lesions, guided by the Nursing Process (NP). The Snake Wound software presents the stages of the NP, illustrative images to guide professionals during completion, and, finally, the NIC - Nursing Interventions Classification and NOC - Nursing Outcomes Classification. CONCLUSION: The software allows the care of patients with skin lesions caused by Botropic snakebite, being a guide and enabling the monitoring and evolution of this type of ophidic wound. Technology becomes more and more present in medicine. Thus, nursing needs to take hold of science to make its activity more specialized and improved, bringing advances to professional practice, and improving the performance and quality of work of these professionals.
