Na trilha do Gasoduto: a dinâmica socioeconômica das comunidades rurais a partir da passagem do Gasoduto Coari-Manaus em Manacapuru

Abstract

The paper presents a study on the socioeconomic dynamics experienced by two communities located in the zone of Coari-Manaus, the conception of the residents about the work and the change in their community reality. It demonstrates how environmental compensation were made through the Pipeline Program, developed by SDS (Sustainable Development Secretariat) and qualitative changes in the life of the riverside men who have the pipeline inside their yard. The work has an overview of the construction of the Gas Pipeline in Manacapuru, and how this Programa has influenced the social and economic dynamics of the city. It concludes demonstrating quantitative data of PIATAM Development Index in 2005 and currently one, and the level of sustainable development, according to the Eas pipeline Sustainability Mold.
