O protagonismo das mulheres agricultoras do Assentamento Água Branca: trajetória de trabalho e organização social em Manaus-Amazonas

Abstract

This study is intended to examine how the role of women in the work of family agriculture in the white water Settlement, giving special emphasis to their life trajectories and social organization. The studies under the light of genre have assumed relevance today with great potential for analysis, printing a new thinking in Social Service, especially as the visibility of women as subjects of rights and social protagonism. The research seeks to give visibility to the effective participation of women in family agriculture, your role and empowerment in the context of agrarian reform, giving emphasis to gender relations. The study assumed the theoretical methodological contribution of qualitative approaches without deleting the quantitative aspects. The locus of research focused on white water Settlement, located in the Am 010 km 32, in the city of Manaus, in the Amazon. Among the multiple results found it became clear that women are the central subjects in the productive activities of the white water settlement; they are the main subject of political organization of the Uberê community in which is situated the settlement under discussion. These are women whose role becomes effective beyond the community, extending up to the marketing of agricultural products in free fair. Must recognize that women farmers have undertaken the construction of their political space so passionate and committed to your community, which has become a major challenge.
