Síntese do aluminato de samário (SmAlO3) por reação do estado sólido e caracterização por difração de raios-x

Resumo

Nanostructured Samarium Aluminate (SmAlO3) was first synthesized by mechanical alloying from precursor powders. Mechanical grinding is a simple, low cost and efficient process. Three samples were prepared and the structural evolution was presented and identified hourly. Ex-situ diffractograms were analyzed and the perovskite nucleation occurred after 2h of synthesis. Thermal stability analysis was performed on one sample and three events were identified, including a reversible phase transition. From the heat treatment, it was obtained a sample with monophasic, orthorhombic with nanometric crystallites of an approximate size of 41nm, verified by the analysis and identification of diffractograms, Rietveld method refinements and the use of Scherrer equation. Raman spectroscopy analysis was made in one of the samples, confirming the intended structure.
