Resumo
This tesis elects as object the formation of the Amazonian academic literary critic and its itineraries for the lyric poetry in the Amazon, considering the necessity to make an inventory about its history and to understand it as a sociocultural process. We have divided and characterized literary criticism into three generations: the first is Impressionist criticism. The second and third generation eminently form an academic universitary critique, the second forming between the 1980s and mid-1990s in the Southeast and Southern Graduate Programs; and the third forming between the second half of the 1990s and the first decade of the 2000s, largely in the PPGSCA. The objectives proposed in this thesis are: 1) to make an inventory about the history of academic literary critic formation; 2) to follow the process of formation of academic criticism in the Amazon from the itinerary she made for lyric poetry, and 3) to characterize the theoretical approaches and thematic choices adopted in the studies conducted by the second and third generation of academic criticism. The theoretical framework is based on the sociology of culture, from the notions of field (Pierre Bordieu, 1997) and literary space (Pascoale Casanova, 2002), and from the sociology of memory, from the notions of places of memory (Pierre Nora , 1993) and literary memory (Astrid Erll, 2005; 2012). We adopted a phenomenology of a hermeneutic nature, based on the proposals of Hans-Gerg Gadamer (1998; 2012) and Hans Robert Jauss (1994). The research is bibliographic, documentary and interpretative. We start from the following hypotheses, expressed in the form of questions: Can we say that an academic literary criticism was formed in the Amazon? It will be Manaus a cultural center when we talk about this subject? Or is it still an ongoing process, since not everyone who defended his dissertations or theses continued to produce literary criticism, that is, did not become professional literary critics?
