A discursividade na sexualidade da mulher hanseniana

Abstract

The studies related to leprosy do not deal with the human issue of the individual, the feelings or their lived experience in their exclusion trajectory, describing the implications in the sexuality of the patient, as well as the changes in the sexual activity after the diagnosis of the disease, the feeling of inferiority , the fear of transmission of the disease through sexual contact, or changes in the daily family life, so this work aims to analyze the speeches of four leprosy women residing in the Colônia Antônio Aleixo neighborhood, observing the way they construct the image of themselves. In the first moment I describe the description of the asylum hospital, as it was known at the time of hospitalization, Antônio Aleixo Colony, so that the reader can have an image of the locus in which these women lived compulsorily from the youngest age until old age. It, then, discusses the historical aspects of leprosy in the world, as well as establishing its proliferation in Manaus and its segregation process. Throughout the development of the work, I present the corpus used to acquire the data, establishing an age range of the interviewed hansenian women. Assuming that leprosy is a triggering factor for changes in the sexuality of its carriers, I will emphasize the analysis in two positions of the subjects occupied by them, namely, marriage and maternity. This work has as a guiding theory the Analysis of the French Line Discourse, as well as Foucauldian thinking, aiming at an analysis of the subjectivity of the Hansenian women in the performance of their sexuality as subject by the institution of marriage and in their motherhood.
