Abstract

Meet the Amazon is part of the dream of many people all over the world, people who idealize the Eldorado lost in the Amazon rainforest and rivers that mix the beautiful surroundings. The search for enchantment, curiosity or just wants to meet has become increasingly frequent. Tourism for your time began offering activities that expands the experience of tourism in the North of the country, in addition to cities and capitals, reach remote areas of the Amazon, the known coastal communities. Tourism in the Amazon communities brought a leisure activity and for the exploration of the territory, reached the visitors and the residents of the communities. The experiments provide true cultural, economic and social exchanges, bringing with it large impacts under the receptors and their subject communities. With the intention of being able to hear the residents of the community, understand their weaknesses and their transformations has research in making an analysis of tourism and its impact, appear in reality. The present work focuses on discussion of the settings established in the community São João do Toupee (locus of research), located on the left bank of the lower Rio Negro, about 25 km from Manaus, capital of Amazonas State. The choice for this community came about by your direct and indirect involvement with the tourism, your set of attractive potential for the creation of a tourism product. The main objective was to identify the forms of organization adopted by the community that suffered and suffers political, cultural and social influence, identifying the reflection of this influence on the way of life of the residents. We use an interpretative approach local indigenous culture, this technique became indispensable in understanding of the representations as all. We opted for a qualitative research with semi-structured interview and the use of ethnographic essay that enabled us to experience next to the local way of life. We made use of the technical procedures of bibliographical research and documentation along with the descriptive research. We conclude that the internal conflicts in the community are absolutely normal to social relations between residents and the transformations and adjustments of the local way of life the demands imposed on the area, due strictly to your condition a Sustainable development reserve. The community is in urgent need of an adequate tourism planning their seasonality, of local infrastructure improvements to enable the survival of tourism.
