Resumo
This paper has, as its goal, na analisys of the history envolving the establishment of the “Agenda Ambiental”- in a free translation, “Environment Task” – in the schools that are part of the municipal network of education, during the years of 2013 and 2014, and how the professionals involved with the project came up with its concepts. The research used a research method that consisted in conducting interviews with the administrators, the pedagogues and the teachers that work in the twelve “Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil – CMEI”, located in the six districts of the urban zone of Manaus. With the answers given in those interviews, it has possible to conclude that the “Agenda Ambiental na Escola”, known as “AAE” is seen in different ways by the professionals involved, although it was noticed that the majority understand it as process of educating students about the environment. Some see it as teaching healthy habits, while other see the “AAE” as simple pedagogic activities. Only a small percentage of the interviewed professionals saw the “AAE” as a process that should begin during child education, but most of them, especially the teachers, saw it as a subject that was “distant” from the reality of the schools and its students, but that may be a reflection of the fact that most teachers say they do not know the “AAE” and its guidelines in depth, as they know their school environment. In the actions developed as part of the “AAE”, most professional would include activities on intuition, based on their own ideas of what should be applied to the community, instead of analyzing it and establishing a strategy that would involve a complete process, from diagnosis to and effective participation of all school agents in building a sustainable society since childhood. These evidences lead to the need of rethinking the content of the guidelines included in the “AAE”, to make them something more aligned with the ones that had to execute those said guidelines.
