Resumo
The present study aimed to investigate the influence of socioeconomic conditions, diet and prenatal care on the nutritional status of pregnant women attending a public maternity hospital in Manaus / AM in 2011. The sample was representative (n = 384) and the information was obtained in two flows: Primary - by interviewing random, using standardized forms for group nutrition CSAS/INPA, were investigated the insertion model socioeconomic and dietary patterns of mothers – Secondary, from the card of the pre nant o an ere obtained data re ardin to prenatal n con ultation , beginning of prenatal examination and anemia. The nutritional status before pregnancy and gestational were classified according to the recommendations of the System Food and Nutrition Surveillance – SISVAN. The project was initiated after approval by the Ethics Committee of the National Institute of Amazonian Research, INPA. Was used for tabulation of results the software Epi-Info version 7 with a significance level of 5%. The results evidenced that during the pre-pregnancy 5.7% of pregnant women presented with low weight, 58.6% suitable weight , 24.0% overweight and 11.7% obese. In the last consultation was observed that the percentage of underweight pregnant women evolved to 17.7%, suitable weight decreased 39.1%, increasing cases of overweight and obesity to 24.5% and 18.8% respectively. The average pre-pregnancy weight was 59.3 kg, 70.9 kg evolving to the last consultation. Among the socioeconomic variables investigated only the maternal e plo ent durin pre nanc o ed a tati ticall i ni icant relati e to t e nutritional tatu o pre nant o en p it re ard to t e odel o prenatal care a eri ied tati ticall i ni icant or t e ariable aternal a e n consultations in prenatal, abortion and parity (p <0.05). Investigating the influence of dietary patterns in determining the nutritional status of pregnant women was perceives the daily intake from all dietary components: carbohydrates 95.6%, protein 86.4%, lipids 92.7%, vitamins and minerals 57.9% was significantly higher in the group of pregnant women with overweight / obesity (p> 0.05).
