Resumo
Nowadays, with the great use of Virtual Learning Environments in teachinglearning
institutions, it is necessary that the teachers can follow the interactions
of the students in the Distance Education courses. However, some AVAs do not
have specific tools to assist the teacher in obtaining information on the students'
social interactions. This makes it difficult for the teacher to perceive and follow up
in these virtual environments. In this sense, with the advent of Data Visualization,
a relevant and widely used area of research in several areas of knowledge to
analyze and visualize data. This research describes a model of identification and
representation of students social interactions using LMS Moodle visualization
techniques. With the iTimeline tool developed in this research, the teacher can
visualize the interactions of his students in real time within the LMS and adopt
measures that promote social insertion, thus collaborating and encouraging
teaching and learning. iTimeline extracts the data contained in the discussion
forums and messages recorded in the database and uses the structure of graphs
and graphs, as a basis, to present the information about the interactions of the
students and visually displaying them to the teacher. In order to validate this
research, a case study was carried out in which its possibilities of use and
validation were investigated by analyzing the data in a class of a Distance
Education course of a Public Institution. Simulated and real experiments were
performed, so it can be concluded through the tests that the visualization of the
data through graphs and graphs in LMS using Multiagent Systems, presented the
relevance of this research.
