Resumo

This paper, based on the Theory of Social representations and concept of field and habitus of Pierre Bourdieu, analyze the social representation of teaching students of Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Amazonas, where it appears in the ticket student, an aversion to teaching and pedagogy as an overvaluation of the specialist teacher. One of the theses presented here is that this aversion is due to the representation of the social devaluation of teaching, with regard to professional devaluation, overwork and low pay. It was noted, however, that the course of the final are added to this representation terms like love, vocation, gift and commitment, setting a more romanticized vision of the teaching profession. We seek to understand with these changes occurred over the training process, identifying their variables and elements in the process of formation that stimulate awareness and overcoming. For this study, researched up about how the pedagogy course of UFAM produces this social representation, training teachers who do not want to be teachers, from the analysis of its Educational and Curricular Policy Project. In fact, we tried to set some conditions for the course produces a transformation in social representation, in which the teaching work is designed in the dimensions of political skills, human and technical. It is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, we tried to outline the theoretical framework of the research, from the three-axis discussion: the first deals with the relationship between the teaching work, the division of labor and pedagogy, in order to support the social representation of teaching from these three categories. The second area seeks to bring the discussion on the Theory of Social Representations from Moscovici, bringing the Central Nucleus Theory of Abric, seeking discuss their key concepts and relating them to the development of this research. In the third axis, taken up the field and concepts of "habitus" of Pierre Bourdieu, relating them to the theory of social representations in an attempt to consolidate the theoretical framework of the research, the analysis of the collected data. In Chapter 2, the methodological procedures developed during the research described between the second half of 2013 and the first of 2014. Data collection was done through the evocation of words technique, whose analysis was done using the software Evoc- 2000, and also through the Focus Group. In Chapter 3 we sought to justify the issue of career choice as a support for the understanding of this initial representation and to identify assumptions that justify the maintenance of this representation in which is presented by the students after the course. Finally, in Chapter 4, it was also based on the analysis of the pedagogical and curricular political pedagogy course of the project of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Amazonas describing the process of transformation of social representations in the training course, identifying interventions occurring and missing in the curriculum process, at which time it comes to the thesis itself.
