Resumo
The present work has the objective to show the formation and the pedagogical practices of the teachers of Biology of the State Schools in the municipality of Humaitá-Amazonas. The problem of this research emphasizes the importance of teacher training for the development of pedagogical practices within the school environment, taking into account the theoretical conceptions and teacher knowledge of the teacher, for the development of Biology classes in public high schools of the County. The present study is classified in an Empirical Research and its objectives can be classified as descriptive and explanatory, with a qualitative approach, being carried out in the State Schools of the municipality of Humaitá, State of Amazonas, which have the Regular High School. Firstly, a Documentary Survey was carried out with the Course Conclusion Works of the Academics of the Biology and Chemistry Course to define the problems observed during the Supervised Internship period in relation to the subject of this study. Then the field research collected data on the subject, through interviews with the professors of the Biology discipline of the State Schools Álvaro Maia, Oswaldo Cruz and Plínio Ramos Coelho. The analysis of the data took place through the Dialectical Historical Materialism, and in the end it was possible to arrive at a panorama on the importance of the initial and continuous formation of the teachers of Biology, as well as of their theoretical conceptions and teaching knowledge that guide their practices in the classroom.
