Resumo

In this paper, we seek to understand psychopolitical aspects from the political identity of the people who make up a trade union center (central syndical) in the city of Manaus. For this purpose, we report to authors who make a reading of the current political situation and history in the syndical movement, bringing historical concepts and constructions. In addition, we dialog with scholars who raise concepts that lead the reflexion on what was discussed with the participants of the research, such as politics, identity, and the elaboration itself that Psychology, as an emancipatory and transforming science brings from these conceptual marks. To this end, we have brought at first, as a methodological elaboration, some epistemological contributions about doing science, so from this point we get in the type of research, whose basis will be qualitative. After that, we are going to broach about the subjects and the place of the research, namely, subjects who are part of a Trade Union Center from the city of Manaus, CSP-Conlutas. We also opted, as technical and research instruments, for the individual non-structured or unpatterned interviews and participant observation. Finally, we analyze data collected from interviews and observation by the dialectical method, deepening the process of constitution of identities, and understanding its dynamics from the constructions that arise in the studied reality. In the participant observation we stayed for about 01 (one) year participating in the activities and we perceive the dynamicity of the conformation of identities, constantly reconfigured according to the context. The bureaucracy, the governments, and the police appear in this dialectical game of political identities such as the THEY that sustain relations of oppression, whose unfolding is the creation of a WE that try to overcome it, such as social movements, unions, etc. Regarding the interviews, we interviewed 05 (five) participants during the period of 02 (two) months. There was a deepening of how these categories marked THEY are conformed, as well as a better perception of how WE are built within the trade union center. In this case, even if there are movements with their peculiarities and their patterns of struggle, CSP-Conlutas, with its program and principles, appears as an organism where collective identities are sustained. However, these identities are shown as fluctuating, because the differences arise within the Central itself, not being constructed, nonetheless, relations of exclusion. Regarding THEY, in the interviews we can glimpse them in a more detail way, such as the construction of CSP-Conlutas from a dissent with the CUT Central, and the police appearing again in the speech of an interviewee. Finally, Political Psychology emerges as an epistemological possibility to think about these spaces in which the subjects that can be found there aim to the social transformation by overcoming the relations of exploitation sustained by the capitalism system.
