Haitianos em Manaus: pertencimento e processos de sociabilidade a partir da escola municipal professor Waldir Garcia

Abstract

In this dissertation we propose to think about the modes of sociability manifested by children in the context of migration from the municipal school Prof. Waldir Garcia. About ten years ago, in mid-2011, the first Haitian immigrant children began to arrive at this school, and since then, the flow of people from that country has become constant within this school. The general objective of this research is to understand how Haitian children of the first and second generation manifest, or not, multiple meanings of belonging in their social and family relationships from this school. From the notion of belonging, we want to understand how these children represent themselves through interaction in the groups with which they live, and how they give meaning to their lives from this context that intersects migration conditions and forms of education.
