Divulgação científica e mídia digital: estudo comparativo entre a FAPEAM e FAPESP

Abstract

This study takes into account the fact that science and technology, nowadays, have assumed an important role in society s life and the fact that the media evolved along with the Information and Communication Technologies ICT, to reach the masses. The situations that lead to the need to monitor this process, especially regarding the dissemination of science through the internet. The survey observed, identified and registered, by means of content analysis, the characteristics that determine the construction of the text in science journalism, applied to the news vehiculated through the internet, using as parameters the journalistic texts on the websites of Foundation for Research of The State of Amazonas (Fapeam) and the Foundation for Research of The State of São Paulo (Fapesp). The study identifies the adopted characteristics for the construction of these news and allows understanding just how much the internet contributes to the dissemination of science in the state of Amazonas. As a result, we present this characteristics that defined the texts published in these websites and confirm the practice of science journalism in the state of Amazonas and a manual for helping professionals of scientific journalism.
