Resumo

The present project deals with the development of electrochemical sensors for the qualification of copaiba oils, presenting a viable solution that allows the detection of adulterants and substances considered a molecular markers such as β-caryophyllene and caryophyllene oxide. The use of electrochemical sensors in substitution of the current techniques is a viable way of performing a quality control of copaiba oils in the detection of adulterants, β-caryophyllene and caryophyllene oxide. Molecularly printed polymers, which were used for the detection of markers, were characterized by spectroscopic techniques and thermal analysis. From the analysis of the results of the characterization techniques, poly (acrylic acid) was selected. Electrochemical studies by cyclic voltammetry demonstrated the selectivity of the carbon electrodes modified with the MIP's in the detection of the respective molecules. We performed square wave voltammetry studies studies that allowed detecting concentration ranges between 1.5 and 7.5×10-7 M, and 5×10-8 and 3.5×10-7 M for β-caryophyllene and oxide of caryophyllene, respectively. Studies on the detection of adulterants using PANI electrodes made it possible to detect the main adulterant reported in copaiba oils, soybean oil. The adulterant detection was performed in the concentration range between 1.01x10-6 and 4.0x10-6 M.
