Análise dos impactos socioambientais na Bacia do Quarenta/ MANAUS/AM

Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study on socio-environmental impacts on the Querent River Basin, associating the damage resulting from the forms of disorderly occupation and the interventions of negative repercussion - which altered this watercourse - under the approach of the urbanization process of the city of Manaus. In this context, the different forms of interventions that have modified the surface of the Querent River Basin, here represented by the acronym (Bh40), were demonstrated. It is worth highlighting the actions and technical measures, to mitigate the environmental damage, in addition to the protective measures taken for the recovery of Areas of Permanent Preservation (APP). Given the above, the research has as its general objective to study the socio-environmental impacts established by different forms of anthropic interventions in the watershed of the Querent. Followed by the specifics that assign in a) Identify the environmental problems established in this basin according to the intensifications occurred b) Know the damage and negative implications by actions and anthropic activities on the natural elements that integrate this urban perimeter of the city of Manaus; c) Show the physical characteristics of the Querent basin and the techniques of protective measures derived from anthropic interventions of rectified channels. d) Make a diagnosis of socioeconomic aspects and sanitary infrastructure in the area of Bh40. To identify environmental problems by finding out in the study area about the damage and negative implications that are generated on the rectified channels. With technical visits and observation of reality, allowed a reflection of qualitative nature established in the description of relevant aspects of the research on the participatory analysis of focus groups in each sector of the basin of the Forty under the socioeconomic and environmental variables. The research is organized in three stages, the first with documental surveys for theoretical interpretation and discursive analysis, the second with technical visits for collection, and the third with the use of data and geoprocessing techniques for the generation of thematic maps. The BH40 was the stage of an urban requalification process with public management interference for the environmental/urban planning and streams recovery by the PROSAMIM project. This project carried out works in the middle/lower stretches of the basin, for the expropriation and resettlement process with new popular housing, environmental recovery and reurbanization of the area to avoid future environmental damage and flooding problems with the rectification of the channels.
