As ambiguidades no conceito da violência: o caso das mulheres manauaras que buscam a delegacia especializada de crimes contra a mulher

Abstract

This study aims to understand the ambiguities in the concept of violence. The State through its law defines domestic violence as physical, verbal, psychological aggression, and property in general is faced by women who experience this kind of violence define. For this analysis, we interviewed the employees of the Bureau of Specialized Crimes Against Women and victims seeking help women in that precinct. Through the discourse of both, we analyze what the state defines as a form of violence and intervention to combat this type of crime, as well as the procedure adopted by the state in an attempt to adapt to meet the victims. On the other hand, we have women who experience violence in their homes and that define, through their perceptions, which was understood by her as aggression or not , as well as his conception of the police handling of cases of domestic violence function.
