A participação do Investimento Direto Estrangeiro (IDE) no processo de geração de conhecimento e inovação em empresas do Pólo Industrial de Manaus (PIM)

Abstract

The knowledge generation and innovation has been treated in the last decades, as an essential for the survival of the organizations, because of the growing technological changes lived at the competitive markets. The foreign direct investment (IDE), for it time, it’s interferes in the subject of the internationalization of the capital flows, starting from transnational companies for their subsidiaries in other markets. The existent relationship among those two elements, in that it weighs the enormity of works that it treat of the themes, still an unknown stays, have seen the more apropriate and indicative of that relationship lack of methodologies. In the present researches, the general objective was of investigating the possibility of existence of a cause relationship and effect among the level of IDE happening of transnational companies and the knowledge generation and innovation in the companies of PIM in the period from 2007 to 2011. The used methodology involved a stage of rising survey, starting from the application of questionnaires to 18 subsidiary companies of transnational, headquartered in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. The results point that this possibility is existente, however of difficult verification, in function of the accessibility of data that allow a substantial and solid analysis of the cause relationship and effect the contribution of IDE and the knowledge generation and innovation in the companies of PIM. It is ended, therefore, for need of methodological and indicative procedures more relevant, that can assure the influence of the IDE in the knowledge generation and innovation in industrial companies.
