Resumo
This dissertation begins, borrowing the phrases of the writer Coro Coralina “We learn knowledge from masters and books. Wisdom is learned from life and from the humble” and the lyrics of the song by composers Alexandre Magno Abrao & Thiago Raphael Castanho, whose narrative is “We will be masters of our tomorrow if we are united”. In this sense, talking about the Amazon is always synonymous with complexity, because knowledge, knowing and the unknown are always stamped in the rivers, in the forest and in the land. In order to have a certain understanding of this knowledge, specialized literature was sought, which deals with Education at the level of Brazil. Once the literature was surveyed, we crossed to the right bank of the Amazon-Solimões river to identify the schools based in the city of Careiro da Várzea - Amazonas. With the identified schools, two in the municipal seat and two in rural areas. To equate the research problem, the following object was carried out: to analyze the main socio-environmental dynamics of the Peasant Teachers of the Municipal School Professora Francisca Góes dos Santos, in the Community of São Francisco de Assis da Costa da Terra Nova in Careiro da Várzea. Since, at the three schools, only observations and informal conversations were carried out. At the Francisca Góes dos Santos Municipal School, observations were intensive. In order to search for certain assertions, the methodological field that was applied were, the semi-structured form, formal and informal interviews, ajuris of rounds of conversations and more the notes in the field book and four trips to the field were carried out, being in 2021, 2022 and 2023, interspersed with dry and flood periods on the Amazon River. After field collections, empirical and theoretical sources were compiled. And finally, it is concluded that, of the 42 (forty-two) assertions, 30 (thirty) were repeated and 12 (twelve) were not repeated. Thus, to the socio-environmental dynamics in the voice of the poet Cora Coralina, knowledge happens when there is interaction between people and the environment, Educator Paulo Freire, invokes that it is only possible to understand the unknown if there is the humility to listen. In this sense, the peasant teachers follow the line of the UN (SDGs) in terms of continuing education, as they all have a degree, specialization, some with a master's degree and are studying at a public university.
