A qualidade da água superficial urbana no aplicativo Minapp

Resumo

Water is one of the most important and vital natural resources for maintaining life on the planet. Its use in contemporary life has undergone a process of degradation that jeopardizes its quality and possibility of widespread use. The control and mitigation of the effects of human use are necessary, and there is a growing concern to create technologies and methods that are effective and contribute to society and constituted authorities to inform, raise awareness, and provide reliable scientific data pointing the way to reducing environmental impacts. In this context, this dissertation aimed to develop, build, and use a mobile application for monitoring, data collection, and provision of information on the quality of surface waters in the country. The application, called MINAPP, in honor of the city of Minamata, was based on the water quality parameters adopted by IQA. This innovative and effective tool for water resource management stands out as it allows the user to record and monitor water quality in their region and around the world. MINAPP becomes a valuable choice for those interested in ensuring the preservation of water resources. Additionally, the application also contributes to transparency and collaboration in water resource management with government agencies and other stakeholders.
