Padronização dos procedimentos operacionais da assistência da enfermagem dos bancos de leite humano públicos do Amazonas

Abstract

The State of Amazonas has three Human Milk Banks and seven maternity units with Human Milk Collection Stations. However, each of these health units, even as part of a system and being interconnected, independently developed their Standard Operating Procedures (POPs) to meet the increasing demands of regulatory bodies, resulting in Standardization for the State Health Department - SUSAM and for the units themselves. These problems reflect the quality of the services provided by the State health, which motivated the Maternities and Hospitals Management to standardize the maternity hospitals through the standardization of the operational procedures of nursing care. Thus, this action was initiated by the Banks and Human Milk Collection Offices of the public maternity hospitals located in Manaus. Therefore, this work proposed to standardize all the procedures performed by these Banks and Posts, as well as to elaborate a Manual of Elaboration of Nursing POPs for the public maternity hospitals of Manaus. To that end, all the POPs existing in these maternity units were gathered to identify the methodologies adopted for their elaborations, formats, practicality, applicability and quality considering existing good practices such as those recommended by NBR ISO 9001 and the National Humanization Policies , Establishing a working group for the elaboration of POPs, composed of members from all the units involved, a standard POP format to be adopted, the macro mapping of maternity processes and identification of the workflow at the Human Milk Bank . With the result of 23 POPs elaborated collectively and taking into account the good practices foreseen in NBR ISO 9001 and the guidelines of the National Policies of Humanization - PNH, as well as a Manual of Elaboration of Nursing POPs for the public maternity hospitals of Manaus that also attend the other institutions of health.
