Desenvolvimento de aplicativo, livro físico e digital para acesso remoto a protocolos de Obstetrícia

Abstract

BACKGROUND: The Northern region of Brazil is the largest in the country in terms of territorial extension, but the smallest in terms of population density, with many uninhabited regions. Adding to this fact, the fact that there are few specialist doctors in the state (mainly in the countryside), one comes to the conclusion that obstetric care is often provided by non-specialist doctors and health professionals. OBJECTIVES: General: Create easy, fast and remote access protocols for health professionals to be used in practical situations of prenatal care, on call and postpartum consultations. Specific: Develop a free app, physical and digital book with Obstetric Protocols. METHOD: Create protocols in Obstetrics through a narrative review of the literature, using sources such as books and protocols already established by national and international medical societies of Gynecology and Obstetrics; and make them available through an app, physical and digital book. RESULTS: The app with the 39 protocols is available for download. The ISBN of the physical (978-65-251-1913-7) and digital book (978-65251-1914-4) is also available. One of the protocols was published in the journal of the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Associations (Femina). CONCLUSIONS: The development of a mobile free app, digital and physical book will be of great value to the obstetric care of the whole state, especially that provided by non-obstetricians in the interior of Amazonas` state.
