Avaliação do desempenho de pavimentos flexíveis restaurados com revestimento asfáltico para região de Urucu (Coari-AM)

Resumo

The work in question presents a methodology for evaluating the functional and structural performance of a section of the Main Trunk Road (ETP), seeking to maintain and even prolong the life of the pavement. The ETP section was divided into seven sub-groups, for better evaluation and control of field data collection. The performance of a pavement is a function of its ability to serve traffic over a period of time, the functional and structural performances of the pavement can generally be defined as the change in its condition or function with respect to age. The functional performance is the provision of the floor to meet its main function, which is to provide a surface with suitable service. Structural performance is the condition of a pavement in maintaining its structural integrity, without presenting significant failures, as the effects of the traffic loads acting on the pavement, generate plastic and elastic deformations. The functional evaluation was based on normative and widely disseminated surveys in the country. The fundamental basis of the survey to analyze the surface of the pavement was the characterization of the type and frequency of occurrences of pathologies, associated to the continuous survey of the state of the asphalt coating, and measurement of the surface macrotexture. Based on these data the evaluation indices (IGI, IGG, ICPF, IGGE, IES and Hs) were determined. For the structural evaluation, there are several equipment (FWD) in the market for the study in question, based on field data collection, performing a non destructive test, by means of determination of vertical displacement values (deflectometric survey) occurring on the surface of a floor when subjected to loading and measured with the aid of a Benkelman beam. The resulting data, maximum recoverable deflection (D0), radius of curvature (R), deflectometric basin, were analyzed and related to each other, searching parameters that indicated the structural condition of the sub-studies. At the end of these surveys, the indices and values found were compiled, seeking to subsidize decision making to improve the control and maintenance plan, which will result in more precise indications and consequently a better targeting of resources for future interventions and even to perform the restoration of the road.
