Filhos do Encantado: estudo sobre o fenômeno do boto em Novo Airão (AM) a partir do olhar ecossistêmico

Abstract

This study proposes a communicational ecosystemic understanding of the imaginary in Novo Airão (AM) of the red dolphin (most commonly known as pink dolphin) phenomenon, which presents itself as an animal for touristic attraction at times and also as an enchanted being at others. The theoretical basis is built on the ecosystemic perspective (Capra, 2006; Maturana e Varela 2007; Monteiro 2011; Pereira 2011; Colferai 2014) in articulation with complex thinking theory (Morin, 2005; Santos, 2010) of the imaginary technology (Silva, 2006) and the studies of the amazonic imaginary (Galvão, 1976; Slater, 2001; Nogueira, 2014; Paes Loureiro, 2015). Thus, I present a narrative that entwines the ecosystemic, social, and cultural phenomenon in Novo Airão (AM), by communicational relationships between the local and the global, which feed the pink dolphin phenomenon as a real and imaginary phenomenon of the contemporary media.
