Resumo
The research was motivated by my concerns regarding the issue of basic sanitation and environmental governance, especially in the municipality of Lábrea, and the possibility of treating it as a contextualization theme in the teaching of environmental sciences. The pedagogical concern to find playful methodological ways to contribute to a transformative education led me to work with pedagogical theater in extracurricular activities for teaching environmental sciences, with environmental governance and basic sanitation as a theme of contextualization and interdisciplinarity in basic education. The research was carried out in a qualitative approach, having as technical procedures the bibliographical research and the field research guided by the research-action, moment in which we carried out pedagogical workshops and group dynamics. We had as subjects the students of the 3rd year of the integrated course in Administration at IFAM Campus Lábrea. As a general objective, we evaluated practices of pedagogical theater as an extracurricular activity aimed at teaching environmental sciences, having sanitation and environmental governance in the municipality of Lábrea as a contextualization theme. We characterize basic sanitation in the municipality of Lábrea as precarious; democratic spaces and popular participation in the governance process of basic sanitation in the municipality of Lábrea, is almost non-existent, as the people who should represent the community are not found in these spaces; we elaborated contents of theatrical activities that integrate environmental knowledge, having environmental governance and basic sanitation as a contextualization theme. The research proved that through the pedagogical practice of theater it is possible to contribute for students and educators to experience and reflect on school contents from the reality of the place where they live.
