O Programa Ensino Médio Inovador nas escolas públicas estaduais em Manaus: concepções em jogo e promessas não cumpridas

Resumo

This study is inserted in line 2 – Education, Public Policies and Regional Development, of the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Amazonas, analyzes the "Innovative High School Program", in the Manaus state education system, in the period from 2012 to 2017. The research had as epistemological presupposition the historical-dialectical materialism, in which the understanding of the historical reality of man is an initial condition of apprehension of both unity and the totality of the social phenomenon studied. Based on theoretical references and regulatory frameworks, public policies for high school were discussed, bringing the performance of multilateral agencies or agencies in the direction of Brazilian educational policy. In addition, the principles and guidelines of high school were examined. The conceptions about integral education were addressed, emphasizing technological or polytechnic education as a formative basis of integral education for high school, highlighting omnilaterality as a concrete process of human emancipation. The implementation of the "Innovative High School Program" in the state education system of Amazonas, based on documentary sources, was discussed. With this, we analyzed the results of the empirical research, carried out in two schools of the Manaus state public network, in which the following thesis was confirmed: the "Innovative High School Program", implemented in the state public system of Amazonas education did not consolidate a proposal for full-time education, nor full education; only achieved permanence and a fragile improvement in the school performance indexes of high school students, of the state public network of Amazonas.
