Aplicação do mapeamento do fluxo de valor na análise de gestão da evasão acadêmica: um estudo de caso no curso de Direito em uma instituição de ensino superior na cidade de Manaus

Abstract

Increasingly competitive scenarios force organizations to optimize their activities, improve their products and processes in search of continuous improvement of their work routines, thus reducing waste at every end in organizational structures becomes essential. The motivation for the present study originated after the significant increase in the dropout rate of Law students at a Higher Education Institution in Manaus, making it necessary to adopt managerial measures that would make it possible to combat academic dropout associated with the application of concepts of lean production tools, such as Value Stream Mapping - MFV. To develop this study, it was necessary to analyze the results obtained through the Evaluation Committee - CPA, in which it was possible to identify the main and potential bottlenecks in the process of insertion of evaluation activities developed by teachers in the virtual environment, which was considered as an element generating dissatisfaction among students, which was causing them to drop out of the course. The nature of the research was qualitative and for data analysis, document research procedures, literature review, field research/direct observation were used, which occurred in three phases: observation of primary data, through electronic spreadsheets, which allowed flowchart formatting; In the second phase, it was possible to prepare the Current Flow Map, based on data collection in the case study, through the application of a qualitative quantitative questionnaire with the course coordination, students and teachers responsible for the process of launching the evaluative activities, so that later the proposed Future State Map could be outlined, making it possible to visualize existing bottlenecks in the process, and from this result the possibility of intervention aimed at improving the value flow, reducing lead time, maximizing the added value in the provision of its services.
