Resumo
The yellow passion fruit is cultivated in the state of Amazonas for small farmers and the production is destined mainly for in natura market. There are not varieties developed or recommended to the region, because this, farmers use seeds obtained from fruits picked in another fruit farms or brought in market without known their provenances. The use of low quality genetics seeds had resulted in low productivity and low quality of commecial fruits and consequently, low profitability. The objective of this work was to evaluate nine yellow passion fruit genotypes in Iranduba/AM to identify genotypes adapted to region with high productivity and fruits quality. The experiment was installed in Fazenda Amazonas in the city of Iranduba AM - Brazil. The experimental design was in randomized blocks with three repetitions, each plot had 12
plants . The genotypes evaluated were: IAC 277, IAC 275, Maguary FB 100, Maguary FB 200, Sul Brasil, BRS Amarelo Gigante, BRS Sol do Cerrado, CPATU casca-fina and plant obtained from oseeds bought in the local market. The parameters evaluted were : fruits yield (PF), number
of fruits (NF), production of pulp (PP), average weight of fruits (PMF), average length (CF), average diameter (DF), relation length/diameter (RCDF), shell thickness (EC), relation pulp fruit (RPF) and total soluble solids (SST). The data were submitted to variance analyses and the mean were compared using Tukey Test (p<0.05). Although it was observed difference between the treatment, in the production parameters evaluated (NF, PF e PP), those differences were not statistical significante, because of high variance . Among fruit characteristics evaluated statistically differences were detected, with exception of EC and SST. The genotypes that shows greater size and weight of fruit were: BRS Sol do Cerrado, BRS Gigante Amarelo and Sul Brasil) however the mean production of those genotypes were below of average of the experiment. The the most productive genotype were: FB 200, FB100 and CPATU casca-fina, which however they
11 produced fruits with size and weight below average of the experiment. In a combined analysis conjugate of fruits and pulp production their characteristics indicated that the best genotypes to this region are FB 200, FB 100 and CAPTU casca-fina for in natura market as to pulp production.
