Resumo

The teacher training in Pedagogy Course FACED / UFAM was the object of study of this work. Where you can make a contextualization of the subject having as starting point the changes occurring in the capitalist mode of production and consequently triggered discussions about the training of education professionals from the construction of the new guidelines for the pedagogy course nationwide. Utilizing the technique of content analysis, the Pedagogical Proposal of FACED / UFAM (2008) was analyzed considering selected elements from the categories listed, which were the following: Purpose of the pedagogy Course, Profile Degree in Pedagogy, teacher researcher and Curriculum Organization of the Pedagogy Course FACED / UFAM. Such categories can demonstrate that debates about teacher training were contemplated by the new political pedagogical project. But it needs to advance in theoretical and practical relation, considering, the strong presence of way of thinking the educational process in a fragmented form, formalized in curriculum organization by disciplines, often unrelated. The new project was considered in the analysis and advancement as both a theoretical setback, showing the contradictions in pedagogical practice.
