Resumo

This dissertation entitled Ethnoarchitecture in the Nossa Senhora das Graças Community, Manacapuru-AM: A Seasonal Mobility Study, where it sought to highlight the processes and those responsible for building riverside houses and the importance of ethnarchitecture for the community's sustainability, and to understand seasonal mobility by the riverside. The fieldwork was carried out in the Nossa Senhora das Graças Community, in the Municipality of Manacapuru / Amazonas, from October 2020 to September 2020. The research subjects were residents and builders of the community, subjects who work with buildings and have the traditional house building technique. And in observance of this cycle, the riverside people take their sustenance and food from the rivers and the forest, as well as use them for their mobility through their land and river roads as well as consider them. Finally, the “masters”, “architects of forests and waters”, are fundamental and essential, not only for the constructions, rural and urban, but for all wood production, in this sense, so as not to lack or cease to exist this professional in riverside communities, it is necessary to encourage and train future professionals, for the continuation not only of this artisanal work with wood, but also for the continuation of a culture that is involved in the lands, forests and waters of that place. However, further studies for a better understanding of Ethnoarchitecture will be necessary.
