Análise da prática de lazer por meio do futebol: um estudo de caso das praticas futebolísticas no bairro da Compensa

Abstract

This study aims to analyze, discuss and identify football as a leisure activity in the city of Manaus. Based on the Eliasian theory, we seek to understand the process that led to the emergence and development of leisure and the function that it occupies in the life of the individual inserted in more developed societies, aspects of leisure as interaction and sociability activities. A means of renewing the tensions resulting from emotional self-control, that is, leisure is the pursuit of pleasant excitement in front of mechanisms of social control in people’s routine. Football stands out as one of these activities. Soccer in Brazil is born from the elites and goes through a complex process of diffusion in the territory. In a short time, it acquires popularity in the various social layers and becomes one of the great Brazilian passions. During this process, it is being practiced in different social figurations, which will be consolidated in the daily life of the cities, among them, amateur football. Assuming that football has become one of the main sources of cultural identity of Brazilian society, from the vision of manauaras individuals who play ball in their free time and report the importance of this practice for everyday life. For this, the method of approach of the research was exploratory, descriptive and qualitative in empirical dimension in the field, with the elaboration of a search form by Google Forms.
