Resumo
The research discussed the family-school relationship with a focus on the issue of school monitoring in high school, seeking to highlight the school actions of a school in the State Network of Amazonas, located in the city of Manaus-AM). It was developed under the Graduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Amazonas, linked to the Education, Public Policies and Regional Development Line, with financial support from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES and the Foundation for Support to Survey of the State of Amazonas – FAPEAM. Dialogue with
the studies of Public Policy and the Sociology of Education, the study started from the premise that a dialogical relationship between family and school is essential to achieve the goals of school education. Based on evidence of difficulties in establishing this relationship, especially in high school, it was sought, from the study of the reality of an Amazonian school, to discuss ways that could facilitate dialogue between these two social institutions. It was a qualitative research, which was developed from the foundations of the dialectical method, covering the phases of bibliographic survey and document analysis of a state educational institution. The research pointed out elements that elucidated ways to improve the relationship between family and school, highlighted the specificities of high school and the possibilities of new practices that were pointed out by the analysis of the research data. Thus, as a result, it was observed that school monitoring is configured in the reality of
an institution in the state network through different actions implemented and which are described in school documents and through actions that materialize from the daily demands of everyday school life. This study supported reflections on the investigated theme that will contribute to the redimensioning of the family and school relationship in the state network of Amazonas.
