IFactor-Km: um processo para apoiar as iniciativas de gestão do conhecimento em organizações de software considerando fatores de influência

Resumo

Proper knowledge management has become a real need in the software development industry, but many organizations have questions about the approach they should take in their knowledge management initiatives. Literature studies have been conducted to identify the factors that affect the implementation of a knowledge management, however, they do not suggest knowledge management actions and practices for organizations. Knowledge management factors refer are the general organizational activities or mechanisms that provide the necessary infrastructure to stimulate the creation, facilitate sharing, and protect knowledge in an organization, increasing the efficiency of knowledge. This dissertation proposes a process to support knowledge management initiatives that suggest actions and practices of knowledge management considering the following factors of influence: social network, leadership, and organizational culture. We evaluate the process through a set of empirical studies with subjects in the industry. The main contributions are: (a) the IFactor-KM Process (Influence Factors for Knowledge Management Initiatives); (b) catalog of knowledge management practices based on findings from the literature and practice; (c) catalog of knowledge management actions and influencing factors associated with knowledge management practices; (d) experimental evaluations regarding the use of IFactor-KM Process, its benefits and challenges when adopted; (e) definition of a tool support to support the use of the IFactor-KM Process; (f) definition of a web page for consultation of knowledge management practices; (g) supporting a software organization to obtain data for the recertification of ISO 9001; and (h) support to two different software organizations by applying the IFactor-KM Process.
