Rosa Sangrenta de Maria Teresa Horta e a ressignificação do sangue menstrual

Resumo

This master's thesis is organized based on the general objective of analyzing the poems of Rosa Sangrenta - book published in 1987 - in order to highlight how Maria Teresa Horta resignifies menstrual blood, favoring the deconstruction of a taboo. Based on this objective, another three unfolded, one of them explaining how the author's writing is supported by a lexical field that prioritizes the use of metaphors to deal with menstrual blood; the other consists of discussing the female body and the reductionist and stereotyped images that mark its construction within the social body, linking them to the corpus book of this research, and the latter proposes to expose the book's organization, revealing the thematic unity that gives you support. The research proposal was bibliographic, consisted of a poetic analysis and was based on the critical theory of Theodor W. Adorno, present in Poesia Lírica e Sociedade, given that he subsidized the approximation between the literary text and the knowledge of other fields, such as Anthropology, History, Sociology, Psychoanalysis and Philosophy applied here to discuss not only menstruation, but also the body and gender relations - which contribute significantly to the maintenance of the silence that weighs on the female body and everything that is his own. The poems were analyzed respecting the elements that constitute it, and, when relevant, aspects of the social body were raised to draw a parallel with what was exposed by the lyrical self. Among the conclusions obtained, the importance of Rosa Sangrenta is highlighted as one of the few books that propose to talk about menstruation, in addition to reframing this menstrual blood, first by the use of poetic language, which is unusual, and then by the fact the poems present approaches that argue against the current ideological discourses.
