Resumo
The transition to higher education can be marked by difficulties such as academic routines and new challenges, which can trigger stress, anxiety, or depression. However, it can also represent a positive and important period for academic and personal growth. For each individual, this environment may contain risk and protective factors that dynamically influence academic experiences. For this reason, creating alternatives to minimize academic stressors, enhance creativity, and foster healthy relationships can promote resilience. Within this context, considering the scientific and social relevance of understanding the academic environment to minimize stressors and promote resilience, it is crucial to emphasize the importance of new studies investigating the effects of alternative tools, especially those involving art as a resource for coping with risks and challenges. In this scenario, this research aims to understand the promotion of resilience in the narratives of participants in the "Canta Junto" Choir, an Extension Project of the Faculty of Psychology (FAPSI) at UFAM. Through a qualitative research design, two interviews were conducted with two undergraduate students from UFAM who are participants in the Choir. The first interview was an open narrative, and the second interview was mediated by an object. Thematic Analysis of the interviews was carried out to understand the influence of the Choir in promoting resilience, according to the participants' perception. The narratives highlighted the importance of resilience in undergraduate studies and the role of the Choir as a space for expression and connection that helped in coping with mood swings and stressful situations, contributing to emotional well-being. The role of Professor Cla udia Sampaio (Choir conductor) was characterized as a resilience mentor, and she was widely recognized as instrumental in the participants' engagement and emotional growth. The object-mediated interviews emphasized objects such as the Choir's T-shirt and photos, which symbolize identity, unity, belonging, and drivers of social inclusion. For these reasons, resilience in undergraduate studies is intrinsically related to the search for activities that provide emotional support, such as participation in artistic groups or, in general, through art, as is the case of the "Canta Junto" Choir, demonstrating through this research its important role as a promoter of resilience in the academic environment of UFAM.
